Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is creating buzz with its upgraded camera features, which promise major improvements over previous models. The new Slim version will have a 10 MP front camera, the same as the normal Z Fold 6, ensuring sharp and colorful selfies and video chats.
This model will also include a 12 MP ultrawide camera, which replicates the capabilities of its predecessor. This camera is designed to capture wide scenes, so it’s ideal for everything from sweeping landscapes to group photographs. The 5 MP under-display camera (UDC) is a significant advance from the 4 MP sensors in previous versions. This update attempts to improve image quality while maintaining the display’s seamless appearance, addressing previous concerns about UDC performance.
On the design front, the Z Fold 6 Slim will be 10 mm thick, 2 mm thinner than the normal model, increasing mobility and competitiveness among slim foldables. The cover screen will be significantly bigger, measuring 6.5 inches, up from 6.3 inches on the standard Z Fold 6. The internal display will also be increased to 8 inches from 7.6 inches, improving multitasking and media experience.
The Z Fold 6 Slim is likely to be released around the end of September 25, coinciding with the autumn release of the Samsung Galaxy S25. It will run Android 14 and will first be available in South Korea and China, with no plans for a European release. Samsung has also unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6, as well as the Z Fold 6 Slim, and is including a complimentary Galaxy Watch 7 with these new smartphones, adding to its foldable lineup.
