In the latest leak, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has been unveiled in the first live images, where it appeared that the company has stuck to some of the usual trends of the flagship while redesigning some features. The said leak has been released by OnLeaks, an established source for the tech industry, in conjunction with Android Headlines. This render shows a design that seems to be inspired from both the Galaxy S24 Ultra as well as the Galaxy Z Fold6, even though we had seen rumors about a completely new design.
The leakage comes about 4 months before Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Initially, OnLeaks did try to make money off the leak by asking for $4,000 from followers over on X (nee Twitter), but there were no takers. So in the end, they were released to the public for free. The Galaxy S25 Ultra leak follows the typical string of early reveals ahead of Samsung’s most important flagship device launches, with it expected that a powerful successor to this year’s very fine—if divisive due to its huge camera lenses—Galaxy S24 Ultra is coming.
A few things to take away from this leak include the dimensions of 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm as per both OnLeaks and another big leaker, @UniverseIce. In addition to an apparent weight loss, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is poised for slightly sculpted rear edges over its predecessor, though it still looks largely unchanged. Its design is mostly unchanged from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, save for much squarer edges and bigger camera lenses reminiscent of the Z Fold6.
While there were some early murmurs of a more thorough makeover, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is agreeably an incremental departure rather than being completely overhauled. Hopefully, more will become clear before the release date, but these early renders paint a picture of Samsung’s next flagship.
