Samsung is expected to bring in the new year of 2024, as its Galaxy S25 lineup will be one of the first big releases (alongside Google’s Pixel 9 series and Apple’s iPhone 16, of course). Leaked renders and information about the Galaxy S25+ from OnLeaks at Android Headlines There’s been a lot of leaks, the first noteworthy being Leaker Steve from OnLeaks creating some renders that suggest Samsung is going for a similar design with some refinements.
The Galaxy S25+ keeps its predecessor, the Galaxy S24+, which experienced little in the line of design transformation. The flat edges, rounded corners, and centered camera cutout on the front of this model are a giveaway. The biggest change in design is the larger camera rings, looking like those of Samsung’s latest folding flagship phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The S25+, meanwhile, edges up in size somewhat, with it coming in at 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.3mm while its screen is a massive 6.7 inches (the same as the S24+ but smaller than the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL).

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S25+ should include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip for U.S. variants to go with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage as a base configuration. Unsurprisingly, given its ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ ethos, Samsung has added some subtle tweaks to further reinforce both the performance part of that phrase and simply make it stand out.
The Galaxy S24 series seems to have let fans down in the camera department, and this might surely mean Samsung needs to take it up a notch with big improvements coming on the S25+. Samsung skipped a couple of the favorable image processing updates that they had promised for the S24 lineup, which disappointed plenty of users. These are the issues that the S25+ will need to fix with consumers.
It looks like Samsung is trying to lure upgraders with this approach—promising consistency in both performance and design—a direct contrast to the new Pixel 9 Pro XL from Google and Apple’s polish on their iPhone 16 lineup. As such, Samsung is betting on repeat business to keep its market share by sticking with the tried-and-true formulas.
