Apple is set to unveil its next generation M4 Mac series in October, with Pro upgrades reportedly lined up for iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini models. These new models may not be available from BMW for sale until November; hence, the following is a close look at the five important modifications you should expect.
1. 16GB RAM as the New Standard
Apple has been shipping base models with 8 GB of RAM for years, and it seems that they have finally decided to do better. This year’s new M4 Macs include the 14-inch MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac; the starting point for RAM is at least 16 GB—Mark Gurman, Bloomberg. This change is significant to support users wanting more horsepower for memory-bound operations.
