Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series will bring seamless updates, a feature that allows system updates to install in the background without interrupting use. This is made possible by A/B partitioning, which allows updates to be applied to a secondary partition while the device continues to run on the primary one. After the update is complete, the phone reboots and switches to the updated partition, reducing downtime.
Seamless updates were first introduced in Android Nougat 7.1 but were absent from Samsung devices until recently. The feature was added to the Galaxy A55 last year, and now the entire Galaxy S25 series, including the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, will support it.
This update method helps to reduce the time users spend waiting for updates, making the whole process run more smoothly. Even if an update causes a problem, the user can always boot the phone from the original and have no system failures. That is an added extra because of the increasing internal storage capacities of many flagship handsets.
There will also be advancement in the SoC section where you’ll see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. With these software and hardware improvements, the S25 series will be the most convenient and secure series, which will give tough competition to other companies in the smartphone market.
