Huawei’s latest foldable, the Mate X6, is now making its way to global markets after a successful launch in China. This device marks the successor to the China-exclusive Mate X5, offering several key upgrades aimed at enhancing user experience.
The Mate X6 stands out with its 7.93-inch LTPO OLED main screen, boasting a resolution of 2,440 x 2,240 pixels and an impressive 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The 6.45-inch cover screen features FHD+ resolution and 2,500 nits brightness, ensuring clarity in various lighting conditions. The foldable device also boasts durability with IPX8 water resistance and second-generation Kunlun Glass for added protection.
Mate X6 is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chipset. The exact specifications remain unconfirmed due to ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, but reports suggest a 12-core CPU and a Maleoon 920 GPU. Paired with EMUI 15, the device runs smoothly with a robust 5,110 mAh battery that supports 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the advanced camera setup: Its main sensor has a 50MP variable aperture, and it sports a 48MP periscope telephoto lens at 4X optical zoom, a 40MP ultrawide sensor. To complete the Ultrachroma experience, the Ultra Chroma Camera goes even further with 1.5 million spectral channels, providing you with vibrant, true to life images.
Priced at €1,999 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model, the Mate X6 will be available for delivery starting January 6. Huawei’s premium foldable offers a glimpse into the future of mobile innovation, combining cutting-edge technology with a sleek, foldable design.
