OnePlus has shared prototype designs of the OnePlus 13, revealing subtle differences from the final version. Posted by founder Pete Lau, the prototypes feature slight tweaks, with the most notable being the camera layout. While the prototypes had extra details around the camera “oreo,” the final design opted for a simpler, cleaner look.

The prototypes reflect the company’s design process, with small adjustments that refined the final product. Unlike some prototypes that show major differences, these designs highlight OnePlus’s focus on perfecting minor details.
The OnePlus 13, launched in China, will debut globally in January. It features the Snapdragon 8 Elite, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and three 50MP cameras with Hasselblad support. A 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 100W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging are also included, with a charger in the box. The OnePlus 13R is expected to launch alongside the global release.
This reveal offers a glimpse into the OnePlus 13’s design evolution and builds anticipation for its upcoming global launch.
