The Samsung Galaxy S25+ has made another appearance on Geekbench, sparking renewed speculation about the chipset that will power the upcoming device. While rumors suggested that all Galaxy S25 models might feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the latest benchmark results show the Galaxy S25+ with an Exynos 2500 SoC. This has led to questions about whether Samsung will choose a Snapdragon/Exynos split or fully embrace Qualcomm’s latest chip.
The Galaxy S25+ appeared under model number SM-S936B, running Android 15 with 12GB of RAM. In the Geekbench tests, the device scored 2,358 in the single-core test and 8,211 in the multi-core test, indicating solid performance. This is not the first time this model has surfaced, with similar Geekbench results emerging earlier in November.
However, just because the Galaxy S25+ appears with the Exynos 2500 chip doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be shipped with it. It’s possible that someone simply reran tests on this unit, or that multiple versions of the Galaxy S25+ are being tested, including variants with different chipsets. While some sources claim the Galaxy S25 series will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite across all models, it remains unclear whether this will be the case for all regions.
Samsung fans and tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more evidence to confirm the details of the Galaxy S25’s launch. As of now, there is no definitive answer, and further leaks or official announcements will be needed to clarify whether Samsung will stick with Exynos in some regions or go all-in with Snapdragon.
This is something that may continue to remain open to speculation for the fans as long as Samsung has not made the final decision regarding the chip.
